RYA Competent Crew (5 day)

For those new to sailing, looking to learn the basics or to start the RYA qualifications ladder. Experience living on a yacht and visit different ports each night. Learn the fundamentals of handling a boat under sail and under engine. Learn to handle sails, tie knots, and become a useful member of crew. Join the boat on Monday morning meet your instructor and crew, after a safety briefing set off returning Friday afternoon. After completing the course you will have an understanding of sailing and how to be a useful member or crew, gaining a recognised certificate. The course is taught over 5 days and will include 4 nights accommodation on board, breakfast and lunch. Student-instructor ration 4:1. Meals ashore and mooring fees, which are split between the students, are not included. An RYA Log book is available for a nominal fee.
