Competent Crew (the introduction to sailing) courses and Day Skipper Sail (the perfect course if you wish to charter a yacht) are run every week of the year from our base in Canary Islands with its all year round warm climate. As we are in tidal waters your certificate is avalid all over the world - not just in the Mediterranean.
We ask you to fly in on the Friday, and we will settle you in about 5pm, before your instructor brings you to our classroom to join us for a welcome drink with your fellow sailors on our roof terrace garden. We will suggest places to eat in our home town of the fishing harbour of Las Galletas with its great restaurants where the locals eat.
On the Saturday morning your instructor will start about 10am with a safety briefing before going sailing in the afternoon.
During the rest of the week you will visit small bays, anchorages, and often sail to the adjacent island of La Gomera - with plenty of sea life (whales, dolphins and green backed turtles to view en-route.
Joining us back in our home port on the Thursday evening we invite you to our roof garden for those all important certificates.
Competent Crew: no experience needed. Just turn up and enjoy sailing
