RYA Competent Crew course

Join us for the 5-day Competent Crew course and gain the basic sailing knowledge and skills to be a confident and competent crew member on a yacht. 

Becoming a good sailor requires a good foundation in sailing knowledge- and experience on the water. If you are interested in getting involved in sailing, this course is the perfect launch pad for the start of your sailing adventures. 

The 5-day course is residential, you will live on board the boat, our Sigma 38 OOD Rho and visit a different marina each night. This will provide experience of life on a cruising yacht, along with the sailing skills you will be learning and practicing daily over the 5 days. 

We run the Competent Crew course between March and November over 5 consecutive days or over 2 weekends (a three-day weekend and a two-day weekend), allowing you flexibility in attending the course most suitable for you.
