These 2 combined courses will train qualified candidates to become IYT certified bareboat skippers. It can be taken together or separately. Flotilla skipper is 6 days and bareboat is 7 days.In these courses, you will learn in details the mechanics of tides and meteorology, passage planning, chart work with Dear Reckoning, Estimated position, Course to Steer, 3 point fixes, Running Fixes and GPS/Chartplotters.In addition we will further your knowledge of the IRPCS, lights, sounds/shapes and IALA buyoage.You will get a good understanding of diesel engines maintenance and how to troubleshoot them.
At the end, a theory and practical exam will conclude your training and you will get the highly respected IYT bareboat certificate.
Competent crew certificate and/or good knowledge of boating as a crew member.
