VHF Marine Radio (SRC)

We run regular RYA VHF Marine Radio (Short Range Certificate) training courses and the exam at Ocean Discovery, an independent RYA recognised training centre in North Wales.This qualification is the minimum required to operate marine VHF equipment on a UK flagged vessel. Our one-day course is classroom-based, providing useful contact and practice with other students and invaluable feedback from our experienced, informative instructors.The exam, consisting of a written theory test and practical assessment in the use of marine VHF DSC radios, usually takes place the next day, with an independent examiner.We limit our courses to small numbers and provide modern training equipment.
